DSA High School Coach – Duane Alexander

Coach Duane says: “I have had the wonderful privilege of coaching for 15 years in high school, 3 years in college; I have coached 14, 16 & 18U travel ball. Twice my teams have cracked the sweet 16 end of year “Nationals” tournament. I have over 30 years of coaching experience in youth baseball, football and softball. I truly believe serving the families in the community is a privilege and want to help build the DSA softball program.”

13U – Dragons – Will Alexander

Coach Will is coming back for his 7th season in DSA as head coach. His team won the Spring playoff championship this past season. He also has prior experience as a head coach and as an assistant coach outside DSA for baseball and softball.

13U – Havoc – Darren Franke

Coach Darren started coaching Fastpitch softball in Spring of 2015. This game is vastly different from baseball and when coaching his girls, he focuses on developing the fundamental skills so as they grow they have a solid foundation to achieve success. As an international instructor in leadership, Coach Darren includes leadership development when working with his athletes. He primarily uses positive reinforcement as it is proven superior in developing life long skills.

10U –  Thunder – Matt Ruffner

Coach Matt is returning this fall for his 10th season with DSA, and his 3rd season coaching softball. He has coached at the 10U level for 2 seasons and is excited about another fun season.

8U – Scott Gimeno

Scott is returning for his second season coaching DSA 8U softball. He had played baseball from T-ball through high school and played high school team sports including rugby and volleyball. He enjoys the kids, the parents and the excitement of coaching. He is looking forward to another amazing season for the 8U softball girls.
